Longnor Players is a community performing arts group with participants of all ages from the Staffordshire Moorlands. We have performed a variety of productions, including:
The True Tales of the Babes in Longnor Wood (Feb 2000)
An Evening of Variety (Sept 2000)
Willy Russell’s "Our Day Out" (Oct 2000)
The Wizard of Oz (Feb 2002)
A Mumming Play at Pilsbury Castle (June 2002)
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (May 2003)
Cinderella (Feb 2004)
Narnia (2007)
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2008)
Oliver! (2009)
Anne of Green Gables (2011)
Up until Narnia, most of the productions have been performed in St Bartholomew’s School, except for "Joseph" which was performed in Longnor and Flash churches. However, with more demanding staging and as the Manifold School was fortunate to have a stage with proscenium arch and wings, it was decided for the first time to stage the shows there.
Longnor Players is always keen to see new interest, so if you would like to take part in future productions, either performing, technical or supportive, please use our contact form to get in touch.
